AF CORSE 3rd place at the Spa 24hr
The 3rd place of the GT2 class was obtained by the F430 GT2 Ferrari driven by Toni Vilander, Gianmaria Bruni, Mika Salo e Jaime Melo. Despite starting the race from the pit-lane and running the race with many problems derived from a hydraulic jack, that twice made the mechanics lose time during the pit-stops and the bursting of a tyre, the team was able to stand on the third step of the podium, maintaining its leadership in both drivers and team classifications.
The F430 GT2 Ferrari driven by Thomas Biagi, Christian Montanari, Matias Russo e Patrick Farnbacher started in the pole position of its class but, during the tenth hour of the race while in 4th position, hit against the barrier at the Blanchimont curve, ending here its race.
As usual the race was affected by the variability of the weather which changed from sunny to rainy and vice versa. The cars were always competitive thanks to the technicians and the Michelin tyres.
