Budapest race
A really hard race: that’s the way this event in Budapest will be remembered. That’s not for the result, which is even more than positive and allows the team to keep the leadership of the championship, but for the struggle drivers were engaged in.
Bruni and Vilander performed very well on track. Also for the ballast they gathered during the two last reces, they started third; nevertheless they managed to remount up to the first position. They kept the leadership of the race until the last laps, when they lost time while they were lapping some cars: this lead them to be overtaken, compelling the crew to a second position. A hard race also for the other couple, which despite a brilliant start, they were slowed down in a traffic jam: in spite of the brilliant timing obtained they reached only a fifth position.
At the end of the event, everybody regrets having missed the result of three consecutive victories. Nevertheless the team is satisfied with the race in general : no errors were committed and both cars gained some points, enough to grant once again the leadership both in team and drivers classification with Bruni and Vilander. With this result, the ballast on Bruni and Vilander’s car increses of 15 kg more, reaching a total weight of 115 kg.
